Workshop Brewing Company

221 Garland St., Traverse City, MI 49684 Located in the warehouse district in downtown Traverse City. This brewery has a great live music line-up. They also serve great food and have lots of games to play. Family friendly before 9. Check out their neighbors down the hall, Mammoth Distillery.

Silver Spruce Brewing Company

439 E. Eighth St., Traverse City, MI 49686 Walking distance! The new guys in town. Silver Spruce focuses on German style lagers. They have mastered simple, classic beers, and you will not be disappointed. They do not serve food, so grab your favorite take-out and hang out at the brewery. (They do have a food truck on different days of the week.)

The Low Bar

128 S. Union St., Traverse City, MI 49684 “Northern Michigan’s most extensive list of rare bourbon, scotch, tequila, gin, rum, & vodka.” Located under 7 Monks tap room (another must for beer lovers) is a bar with speakeasy vibes. Take the elevator or stairs to the basement. Handcrafted cocktails, many made with local liquors. The drinks take a few extra minutes to make, but they are worth the wait!

Lake Ann Brewing Company

535 First St, Lake Ann, MI 49650 A small-town, local brewery less than 30 minutes away. Serves local meads and wines as well. Check out the back patio that usually has live music. Hungry? Stone Oven restaurant is right next door and has a connected pick-up window.

Traverse City Whiskey Company

201 E. 14th. Street Traverse City, MI 49684 Stop by their tasting house, which offers full-size drinks. Make sure to try their American Cherry Edition with just the right amount of sweet. They do not offer food, so it’s a great after-dinner stop.

Rare Bird Brewpub

229 Lake Ave., Traverse City, MI 49684 A rustic, beer-hall style brew pub. One of our go-to joints, they never seem to let us down with their beer selection. They offer their own brews on tap along with many other local beers. Have that one friend who doesn’t like beer? Can you say margaritas on tap! They are a full service bar with liquor and wine as well. Grab a meal and listen to live music on many of the nights.

Storm Cloud Brewing Company

303 Main St., Frankfort, MI 49635 Located in Frankfort, Michigan. This brewery is a bit of a drive, but it offers some awesome food and beer. When you are done, walk right to Lake Michigan or the park across the street.

Northern Latitudes Distillery

112 E. Philip St., Lake Leelanau, MI 49653 Still one of the only locations to offer free tastings. This family-run distillery offers awesome liquors like horseradish vodka (amazing bloody Mary), Mackinac Island Fudge Liquor, Limoncello, and everything between. Stop at the back bar to have a drink made with one of your favorites

The Filling Station Brewery

642 Railroad Pl., Traverse City, MI 49686 Right across the street! This Brewery specializes in pizza and salads. Great outdoor seating with sandboxes for the children. End the meal with one of their S’more pizzas.

Hop Lot Brewery

658 S.W. Bay Shore Dr., Suttons Bay, MI 49682 Hands down one of our favorite spots. Large open space for yard games and for kids to burn some energy. They have multiple fire pits for chilly nights so be sure to grab a S’more-making kit from the bar. They serve food on-site and check out trivia night or a live band. **In the winter, they have igloos, A fun spot to hang out and have a few beers. Great for kids!
