This unique, yet comfortable home will be the perfect epicenter for your next trip! This 12 sided, Dodecagon Home, has been thoughtfully updated throughout. Sitting on 2.5 acres, nestled in the pines, yet a central location to so much! It also is the perfect spot to really create memories, with multiple comfortable hang out areas and a full activity level with games for all ages! Including ping-pong, foosball, 65-inch TV, life size connect 4, and so much more! 15 minutes to Traverse City! This 12 sided house is three floors of everything you could want in a home away from home! The top floor feels open and bright with high ceilings and feels like you are floating within the 2.5 acres of pines outside. This floor has a full kitchen, master bedroom with on suite bathroom and walk in closet. An additional half bath and large family room with dinning table. Kitchen is fully stocked with all items needed to cook meals. It also has a full coffee bar with coffee, cream, sugar, and teas provided. The middle floor or main level has a large mudroom/entry when you walk in the door. There is another hang out area with couches and lounge chairs and a large dinning room table for eating or gaming. There is also a full bathroom, laundry room, and two good sized bedrooms. One with a king bed and the other with a queen bed and a twin bed. Head to the basement and you wont want to leave! Completely decked out for all ages! Ping-pong, foosball, SO MANY games and toys, a 65 inch TV with large L couch, toddler items like slide and mini trampoline, and even a tucked away reading nook! Perfect for multiple families! Adults can hang out at either of the lounge areas while the kids take over the basement! The yard is entertainment in itself! Large grass area for playing ball or explore the woods! Wrap around second floor deck with lounge seating. The two car garage is yours to use during your time here! Bring all the water toys or bikes. In the winter, keep all the ski equipment here and your car snow free! Minisplit air conditioner is able to cool the entire house really well with no complaints. Each bedroom also has their own fans. Baby items in house include: Pack and play with sheet, highchair, changing pad, two baby gates, noise machine, and star machine! A smart lock with unique code just for you means an added layer of security and a code easy to remember! We live near and are available if needed, but most of our guests complete their stay with no face to face interaction with us. The house is just 2 minutes from downtown Lake Ann! With well known establishments Lake Ann brewery, Stone Oven Pizza, and top of the cone ice cream! It also means it is just a short ride to Lake Ann's public access for paddle boarding or boating. Central location to everything you want to do in the area! 15 minutes to Traverse City, 15 minutes to Sleeping Bear Dunes, 10 min to Rove winery and numerous others! Please note that 3 days before check in time, we will place a temporary pre-authorization hold of $500 on your card. This hold verifies fund availability and covers potential incidental expenses during your stay. The hold will be released 7 days after check-out, pending no outstanding charges or damages. Your privacy and security are paramount, and all card information is handled confidentially.

November 2023 5.00One of the top 5 air bnb places that we have stayed! The place is immaculate and extremely tasteful and well appointed. Towels and bed lines are luxurious and high quality, along with kitchen utensils, and cookware. Private and relaxing setting and very close to Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes and all the lovely little inland lakes and towns. Kara was extreme responsive and accommodating in every way. We have absolutely nothing negative to say about this place. We brought a six month old baby, so she was too young to enjoy the wonderful playroom that any child would stay busy in for hours. Truly an unusual Gem!!

December 2023 5.00Amazing stay! Really one of the best Airbnbs that we've stayed in (and we've stayed in at least 60 over the years). Clean and beautiful. Very well decorated. In my experience, you get places that are pristine but you know they were decorated for the Airbnb market, so it's not well thought out and even if it "looks good" it doesn't function well or have any soul. Other places are actually lived in by the owner at times, so they have more soul but they have some clutter and you feel like you're in someone else's space. But this place WAS THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS. It had tremendous soul---Beautiful, and yet clean and practical. We hated to leave. It was more space than we actually needed, but completely worth the cost.

May 2024 5.00Exceeded expectations! Perfect for our family during graduation week at Interlochen. Would definitely recommend! The only thing I might add is an outdoor grill. Other than that this place has everything you need and more. The game/ play room was so much fun and every room was well appointed. The home is very clean, comfy and charmingly decorated.
We went for my wife's surprise 50th bday party. The house was better than the pictures and description! The special touches the host did were over the top. The house was very clean, modern, and had everything we needed to feel at home. The extremely comfortable beds and pillows were appreciated after a long day of sightseeing. Would highly recommend this house!!!
The house was just as beautiful as the pictures. The kids enjoyed the playroom in the basement which was fun and spacious. Beds were extremely comfortable and we all had a restful sleep. We really loved Lake Ann and the fact that Traverse city was a close drive. Kara and Alex were super responsive and attentive to our needs.
"The Nest" was a wonderful setting for our weekend getaway. With interesting architectural features, the hose is surrounded by pine trees and is very private. The kitchen and the main living area is on the second floor, which could be a problem for older renters, but we vere happy to look out at the tree canopy from the living room and kitchen. Everything was clean and beautifully renovated. Would return anytime for a vacation.
The Nest was by far the best place we have started in. Super clean, very nicely decorated, beautiful surroundings, amazing playroom for the kids (7 and 2 years old) and for the adults too. Closed to so many things, and recommendations were AMAZING! Kara was very responsive and accommodating. We can’t wait to be back next summer.
