Welcome to The Elm House! Located in downtown Suttons Bay, this three bedroom, 1.5 bath home is centrally located to all of the areas activities! One block from the TART Trail, two block from Suttons Bays shopping and restaurants, walking distance to Hop Lot Brewery and the beach. The home is in the heart of wine country, giving easy access to all of Leelanaus wineries. The Elm House is stocked with everything you could need! Start the morning at the provided coffee bar with coffee, cream, sugar, and teas. Make a 5 course meal in the fully stocked kitchen and gather around the large dinning table to enjoy each other. Want to eat out instead? Just walk the few blocks into town where you can pick from the numerous restaurants! From the local drinking hole to Wren with their 5 course meals, there is an option for everyone. Hang out in the family room with the smart TV or listen to one of the vinyls on record player. Walk right to the beach, also just a few blocks away. Refresh in one of the three bedrooms all with new memory foam mattresses. Bringing kiddos? Pack light! Pack and play, high chair, noise machine, toys and books are all provided! The TART Trail is just a block away! Rent bikes and have them waiting for you at the house or bring your own and leave in the over sized garage. Whatever your plan might be, the Elm House is fully stocked for time in or centrally located for ALL of Leelanau's adventures. Unique door code on our smart lock means added security and a code that is easy to remember! Most guests complete their trip with no face to face interaction with us! We live close and are here to help should a problem arise. Always available via messenger for questions! In the heart of downtown Suttons Bay! Across the street is the school park. A few blocks away is the public beach. Walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops, hop lot brewery and the TART trail! Two parking spots in the garage and two in the driveway. Bring your bikes to get to all that Suttons Bay has to offer! Winter: Bring your skates! At the end of the block is a full ice rink (when the weather allows). Even stocked with free to use hockey sticks. Please note that 3 days before check in time, we will place a temporary pre-authorization hold of $500 on your card. This hold verifies fund availability and covers potential incidental expenses during your stay. The hold will be released 7 days after check-out, pending no outstanding charges or damages. Your privacy and security are paramount, and all card information is handled confidentially.

November 2023 5.00We loved staying here! The house was perfect for our group, and we enjoyed being able to walk to town, the playground, and the lake. Perfect spot with kids, and a relaxing home-base for exploring the area. The house had everything we needed, and things were easy to find/use.

June 2024 5.00This is our third time staying at a Two Bay rental and it’s our favorite yet! This house is perfect for little kids- beautiful beach and downtown within walking distance. Great restaurants, grocery store and playground nearby. We can’t wait to make this an annual stay!

Loved our stay. Extremely responsive & helpful host. Details are even better than the pictures - high quality touches everywhere. Comfortable beds, and excellent water pressure to luxuriate in shower after a day of exploring. The home is walking distance to trails, downtown, yoga studio, stores. Garage is an a additional perk in the snowy season. The record player was a hit with our family. As well as large comfortable couches after day of skiing in nearby Homestead ski area (two bay - gorgeous views). Would definitely love return to explore different seasons or just have a longer stay in this pristine place. Thanks so much!
This was our second time staying at Kara's in the winter with our two kids. We loved the location and the nearby activities. There are a bunch of great local restaurants and shops within walking distance, a skating rink and a sledding hill just down the street, and the rest of the Leelanau Peninsula and Grand Traverse area is just a short drive away. The house itself is immaculate and we loved the nice touches throughout. The kitchen has everything you could want if you were inclined to cook your meals yourself, and we loved having a full laundry setup to take care of drying the snowy socks and hats after our sledding adventure. This was the perfect setting for a quick winter trip with all the comforts of home, and we had a great time!
Beautiful place, located within walking distance to downtown Suttons Bay and very close to all the wineries. This had so many amenities which was a nice touch. We appreciate the thoughtfulness of the host. We had a great weekend up north and hope to be back!
We loved staying at the Elm House in Sutton's Bay! It was a great location that allowed us to walk to the water, downtown, and to dinner/drinks. The house was cozy and decorated beautifully. We also appreciated that the kitchen was well- stocked for cooking. It was so fun to try out some of the records while unwinding in the evenings. We would be happy to rent this spot again!
We've been coming to Traverse City and Suttons Bay area for 7 or 8 years now and this is probably my favorite rental so far. The house was clean, beautiful, in a great area to walk to Sutton's Bay. My 3Y and 18M old loved all of the kids books available and the toys in garage. I wish I would have known because I could have saved space bringing their bikes. We will be checking availability here first for next years trip.
