Welcome to “The Boardman Loft” a uniquely redesigned 4 Bedroom 2 Bath multi-use building with some local history and is located in the refreshed corridor of Traverse City's NOBO district (North of Boardman). This newly renovated space has an open concept commercial kitchen, dining, and multiple level living spaces. This unit features salvaged wood flooring from the 1920’s and an eccentric décor to match. It is perfect for group togethers and entertaining or for families and smaller groups looking to stay close to all Traverse City has to offer from wineries, to breweries, restaurants, shops, trails, parks, and more as they are all within easy walking distance! The space 4000 Sq. feet of space can comfortably sleep 8 and allows you full access to the gym and courtyard amenities. We are Pet-friendly! Pet fee is $200.00 per stay, only dogs are allowed, cats are not permitted. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed. Please let us know if you are bringing a fur friend so that we may get your pet amenities prepared for your arrival. We try our best to keep hair and allergens away, but guests with dog sensitivities should be aware. Please use our provided sofa cover and 'retired' towels for your fur friends. Booking guests will be responsible for any pet damage. The Boardman Loft is located within “The Box” right on the corner of Boardman and Eighth. The building is multi-use and shared with a co-working office space above and wellness center below. This historic building was once the home of The Traverse City Cigar Box Company, built in 1920 and renovated over the years it still maintains its historic feel and charm. Perfect for larger groups, in addition to Boardman loft, our adjacent 'Vitalia' condo offers a spacious open-concept layout with breathtaking river views. This standalone unit features a luxurious King bed, a comfortable Queen sofa sleeper, and contemporary furnishings throughout. Guests enjoy the same exclusive access to our private gym, making 'Vitalia' an ideal satellite location for larger groups wanting to stay close together but seperate. Please inquire about the rental of 'Vitalia' with us directly. Due to the mixed use of this building we request that noise be kept to a reasonable level between the hours of 8am-5pm Monday-Friday so as to not distrub the neighboring offices. We appreciate your cooperation. Quiet hours are observed after 10pm. We are in a residential neighborhood so please make sure to respect our neighbors. No unauthorized parties are allowed. ☆☆ BEDROOMS ☆☆ This beautifully renovated space boasts 4 fully stocked bedrooms that are ready for you to come home to after exploring the area. The master bedroom is equipped with a King-sized bed and sitting area along with an ensuite bathroom. The second and third bedrooms also feature King-sized beds and plenty of room to relax, please note these two bedrooms have high (partial) walls that do not reach the industrial height ceiling thus adding to the open concept and feel of the space. The fourth bedroom features a bunk bed with 2 twins and a small play area. If you are traveling with a young one, you will find a Pack and Play in the closet. The living room also features a sectional sofa. This home can comfortably accommodate up to 8 adults and/or an infant, a rare commodity in the middle of Traverse City. ☆☆ BATHROOMS ☆☆ This space features 2 full bathrooms, so there is no need to worry about scrambling for shower time. All bathrooms feature high quality amenities and are fully stocked with anything you may need while away from home. The main full bathroom is located down the hallway just off the open living and dining room area and features a large vanity with granite counter and a full tub and shower. Relax and feel rejuvenated in the large ensuite master bathroom which features both a soaking tub and a large walk-in shower along with dual facing sinks in an open wood and granite vanity and storage area separate from the shower and toilet so it is easy to get ready for events. It is hard not to feel pampered in this space! ☆☆ KITCHEN ☆☆ The massive chef's kitchen and dining space is fit for the most discerning cooks. This fully equipped kitchen with granite counter tops was made for entertaining and is every chef’s dream! It has everything you will need to cook up tasty meals, including new stainless-steel appliances, dishwasher, deep industrial sinks, microwave, crock pot, blender, and all necessary cookware and utensils. We also feature a separate drip coffee station with an assortment of coffee and tea available. We provide children’s dinnerware, utensils, and a high chair for young families. The kitchen is located to the left of the entry to the space and features a small sitting area to the right where you can enjoy the courtyard view or BBQ on the patio. The open concept continues into the dining and living area as the kitchen opens into these spaces so it is easy for the cook in your group to whip up tasty meals and not miss any quality time. The twin bedroom is located off the kitchen making it easy to keep an eye on little ones during nap and play times while not missing a beat with your group. ☆☆ LIVING ROOM ☆☆ You will find the interior retains much of its original charm mixed with elegant custom cabinetry and décor throughout. The living area is thoughtfully decorated, spacious, and equipped with everything you could possibly need including a large collection of over 500 books and plenty of places to cozy up and explore them. The living space features 3 separate spaces, a raised platform serves as a reading and gathering area with comfy furnishings and surrounded by large windows, it is the perfect space to relax or gather. The lower-level living area features a seating area with Smart TV and built-in electric fireplace while the main living room area features a large screen Smart TV with fully loaded built-in bookcase and large sectional sofa, perfect for cozying up and watching movies. If you are looking for some family fun or group activity, check out our board game collection. There are also some kids' toys and books available. You will also find a full-sized washer/dryer in its own space off the hallway. ☆☆ OUTDOOR & BUILDING SPACES☆☆ Outside, you will have full access to the building’s private courtyard (a shared space) which features a gas fire pit and grill along with several artistic touches which add to the historic vibe including a fountain and seating areas. This unit also features a patio area off of the kitchen and has a BBQ available for your use. The Well (basement level) also features a gym available for guest use. **Newly added 6-person sauna is open and available for guest use for an additional fee, please inquire with us about booking time** 2 Dedicated parking spaces for our guests, there is also additional parking next to the building and it will allow for an RV or larger vehicle. There is also a garage that could be made available for an additional charge. EV Charging available for guests. Please inquire with us on additional parking. Security cameras in use outside of the premises **Coming Soon: Installation of a fenced area so that The Boardman Loft guests will have access to a private yard area within the main courtyard* Please be aware guest stays longer than 10-days will require mid-stay cleaning. Mid-stay cleaning fees are the same amount as fee charged during booking. A weekly cleaning and linen/towel exchange is required for long-term guest stays, short-term guest stays may request a mid-stay cleaning for an extra fee. Please note that 3 days before check in time, we will place a temporary pre-authorization hold of $500 on your card. This hold verifies fund availability and covers potential incidental expenses during your stay. The hold will be released 7 days after check-out, pending no outstanding charges or damages. Your privacy and security are paramount, and all card information is handled confidentially. This distinctive historical mixed-use building also comprises several private offices on the upper level and a boutique wellness business on the lower level. Occasionally, noise from these businesses may be heard during office hours. For cancellations, please check the cancellation policy on your booking platform. August 2024 5.00Jason’s place was everything that we could ever need/want and more! My [then] fiancé and I stayed with our wedding party to prepare for and celebrate our wedding. We were able to host our rehearsal dinner for 20 guests with the amazing and accommodating commercial chef style kitchen. One of my beloved bridesmaids owns a restaurant and cooked our meal with ease. The beds were very comfy. Everything was clean and stocked and we enjoyed all of the lovely amenities this place has to offer. Just a few short blocks from bars, restaurants, live music, etc.

Its hard to even describe this place, it's like no other! Incredible kitchen that goes on and on - we cooked for 4 days solid 10-14 people and had no problems - plenty of room for each prep station - 2 ovens and a large fridge that handled it all! The loft itself was beautifully decorated for the holiday which was a surprise and oh so appreciated! Many seating groups so you could spread out and yet still be connected - perfect for our extended family. The 3 bedrooms had comfortable beds and linens. It is tough to decide who gets the master, but besides that, was great for the 6 that stayed there. Floors are extra squeaky, but once all in bed the loft was quiet. Great electric blinds to close things out from the street if wanted. If it looks like a fit for your needs - book it!
